About Easterseals

Easterseals Central & Southeast Ohio aims to give all people a chance to reach their full potential and live a truly inclusive life without limitations. Their purpose is to change the way the world defines and views disabilities by making profound, positive differences in people's lives every day.

Children and adults with disabilities will find the highest-quality services that are designed to meet their individual needs when they come to Easterseals. Teams of therapists, teachers, and other health professionals help each person overcome obstacles to independence and reach his or her personal goals.

Each year, the turkey logo you have emblazoned on your race shirt and medal, is designed by an Early Intervention student or graduate from Easterseals Central & Southeast Ohio. For over 50 years, Easterseals Central and Southeast Ohio has been providing early childhood education programs meant to promote skill development for children with developmental disabilities and delays. Their Early Intervention program focuses on a child's needs early on in their development at their individual level of ability, giving them the head start they need to keep up with their peers.

A message from mom

Easterseals will always hold a special place in our hearts. Our son Griffin started at Easterseals when he was just 20 months old after we began noticing a speech delay around his first birthday. Our speech therapist through Help Me Grow recommended we tour Easterseals, and after meeting the amazing staff and seeing the facility, we knew it was the right place for him.

Griffin attended Easterseals from 20 months old until his third birthday, and every day the staff made him feel loved, supported, and encouraged. He especially loved music class on Thursdays and looked forward to playing on the playground and in the gym with his friends and teachers.

Watching Griffin's speech take off was incredible, and we truly credit so much of that growth to the caring staff who invested their time, patience, and love into helping him find his voice. We will always be thankful for everything Easterseals did for our family, and for the foundation they gave Griffin as he continues to grow and thrive.
